Education
& Youth
Partnerships
Ignition Dance Company, through its Youth Division (CAOS), partners with schools, further education institutions and youth organisations to deliver culturally grounded arts education.
Our programmes centre African diasporic dance traditions, including Afrobeats and Dancehall, integrating historical context, creative enquiry and structured skill development.
Delivery is adaptable and can align with curriculum objectives, enrichment programmes, performance preparation or targeted engagement initiatives.

We work collaboratively with educators to ensure each programme meets the specific needs of your students and community.

CAOS Youth
Creative Arts of Substance (CAOS) is the dedicated Youth Division of Ignition Dance Company.
We design and deliver culturally grounded arts education for young people across further education and community settings.
Our work integrates African and Caribbean diasporic dance forms, storytelling and creative expression to support confidence, regulation and identity development, particularly for young people who may not always thrive in traditional environments.
CAOS partners with educational institutions and community organisations to create spaces where culture, movement and voice are centred.
This is not enrichment.
It is structured, intentional youth development through the arts.
Schools & Further Education
Through our Youth Division (CAOS), Ignition Dance Company partners with schools and further education institutions to deliver culturally grounded arts education in African diasporic dance forms, including Afrobeats and Dancehall.
Our programmes go beyond choreography.
We integrate cultural context, creative expression and structured skill development to support confidence, teamwork, leadership, focus and communication both inside and beyond the studio.
Sessions can be delivered as:
* Curriculum-enrichment programmes
* Short-term projects
* Termly workshops
* Performance preparation
* Wellbeing and engagement initiatives

We work collaboratively with educators to ensure delivery aligns with institutional objectives while creating spaces where young people feel seen, challenged and inspired.

Our Approach
and Method
.
We integrate African diasporic dance forms with historical context, creative exploration and reflective learning to support both artistic development and transferable life skills.
Our delivery is:

* Collaborative and student-centred
* Culturally responsive
* Grounded in lived experience
* Structured yet adaptable
* Focused on confidence, leadership and critical thinking

We believe dance education should not only teach movement, but deepen cultural understanding, strengthen identity and develop resilience.
Each programme is designed to align with institutional objectives while maintaining authenticity, creativity and high standards of delivery.
