Verona Patterson
Founder / Director/ Teacher /Choreographer / Lecturer/Mentor
Verona  is the Founder and Co-Director of Ignition Dance Company which hosts under its umbrella Jamercise Fitness, IDC Performance group and CAOS Academy for Youth.  As a Dancer Verona is experienced in a variety of dance styles including Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Afro-Caribbean, Afro-Latin, Street and Lyrical.  However when teaching and Choreographing Verona  specialises in Street , Lyrical,  African and Caribbean dance styles.  Verona has worked steadily as a Teacher since 2007 for various agencies and organisations which has resulted in her working at many schools, colleges, universities and community clubs.  Institutions include Kingston University,Southampton University, Queens Gate, Lewisham College, Queen Mary University and Newham College to name a few.

Verona’s former services also included her employment with Royal Academy of Dance, Step Into Dance, Greenwich Dance Agency  where she taught Street and Afrobeats  Dance for Youth in Primary and Secondary Schools across the UK. Being  an active member within the fitness industry Verona has contributed towards influencing companies and gyms to incorporate Afro Beats fitness where they may have not once considered it before. Verona was a former core member of FFI (Director Hakeem Onibudo of Impact Dance Company) where she regulary taught and performed at various events which have recently included Dance 4 Change (Launch), Peckham Pulse, May 2014 (dancer and teacher), DIVERCITY, Greenwich Dance, April 2014 (dancer), Harrow's Laughing, Harrow Arts Centre, March 2014 (dancer) Live Vibe Make it Happen, Rich Mix (June 2013 Work experience). Â She also lends herself to other companies who may wish to employ her services outside of Ignition Dance Company.
