Danceworks London

Ignition Dance has delivered regular Jamaican and African dance classes at Danceworks London since 2016, introducing participants to diverse African dance styles, and Jamaican dancehall while building confidence, creativity and wellbeing.

Urban Strides

📍 Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire

⭐ Programme type: Youth and adults training workshops
🌍 Reach: Young and Adult dancers from diverse communities
Ignition Dance partnered with Urban Strides to deliver Afrobeats and African-influenced dance workshops as part of the Hip Hop Don’t Stop event at Bucks New University.
The workshops introduced participants to culturally rooted African and Afro-diasporic dance styles through a combination of technical training, freestyle exploration and choreography development.

Halcyon London International School

⭐ Programme type: Focused dance education programme exploring Afrobeats, Dancehall, Commercial and breaking
🌍 Reach: Students from diverse international backgrounds studying at Halcyon London International School.
Ignition Dance Company has partnered with Halcyon London International School since 2023 to deliver culturally focused dance education programmes. These sessions introduce students to Afro-diasporic and global street dance styles while exploring the cultural roots and influences behind the movement.

BASE Studios

📍 Location: Vauxhall, London
👥 Participants: 25–35 per class
⭐ Programme type: Open adult dance classes, workshops and participation in the BASE Dance Experience programme. Styles include Dancehall, Afro-diasporic dance styles with a focus on musicality, cultural expression and Female empowerment
🌍 Reach: Diverse London dance community with participants from a wide range of cultural backgrounds.
Ignition Dance Company has delivered open classes and workshops at BASE Dance Studios since the studio opened. Through this partnership, Ignition Dance has contributed to the studio’s vibrant training environment by delivering high-energy classes rooted in Afro-Caribbean dance culture.
The sessions provide dancers with opportunities to develop rhythm, technique and cultural understanding while building confidence in a supportive professional studio setting.
